IO Software was founded in 2004. It started as spin off from Mr. Dias PhD research. In February 2005 Mr. Lavrinenko joined the team and Kleio development soon started.
The modular design of IO Software projects meant that in December 2005 we could take the equation editor and latex support from the Kleio project and release it as an independent application.
Our vision
We have a passion for excellence. For us it is not enough just to do things: they need to be good. We strongly believe that there are plenty of new things to be done in areas that remained virtually untouched over the last 10 years, like word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and so on. Furthermore we are not happy with current usability of most software, we think it is possible to greatly simplify many programs, and improve the user's experience. Over the next years we try will put our vision to practice and Equations and Kleio to lay foundation for the future.

 Luis Dias
Luis Dias was born in Coimbra, Portugal, in 2 of December 1972. He is married and has two sons. He studied Physics at the University of Coimbra and in 1994 he took a degree in History.
In 2000 he left for England to do a PhD at the University of Bradford. During this time he worked in several projects in the areas of databases, web technologies and user interfaces.
In 2004 he founded IO Software being currently its CEO.

Sergey Lavrinenko
Sergey Lavrinenko was born in Odessa, Ukraine in 1978, and is married.
He holds a PhD in Computer Sciences from the Ukrainian State Academy of Telecommunications. He has over 10 years experience in software development for DOS, Windows and Linux. He taught Computer Sciences in Odessa National Polytechnic University, and worked previously as developer, analyst, architect, and project manager in several onshore and offshore companies.
He is currently IO Software chief Engineer.

Dmitry Gurinovich
Dmitry Gurinovich was born in Odessa in 1978, and married recently (congratulations) .
He holds a Master's degree in telecommunication Sciences by the Ukrainian State Academy of Telecommunications and has over 4 years of experience in software development for Windows and Linux. He taught during 3 years networking technologies in Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications and worked as software developer, architect, and project manager in several offshore companies.
He is currently an IO Software developer.

Irina Lavrinenko
Irina Lavrinenko was born in Ismail, Ukraine in 1981.
She graduated at Odessa National Polytechnic University with a Masters degree in Computer Science. She has experience in teaching Computer Sciences at Odessa IT college, and worked as QA engineer and manager in offshore companies.
She is currently responsible In IO Software for the Fonts Program and software QA.

Dmitry Mindra
Dmitry Mindra was born in Odessa in 1982, and married recently.
He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science by the Odessa National University and has over 4 years of experience in software development.
He worked over 3 years in "The Research Institute of Mathematical Support for Informational Systems" and he is one of the developers of “The United State Register of Legislative Persons and Private Entrepreneurs”
He is currently an IO Software developer.

Yan Drugalya
Yan Drugalya was born in Odessa, Ukraine in 1981, and is married.
A specialist in Computer Systems, graduated from Odessa National Polytechnic University, he has over 5 years experience in software development for DOS and Windows. He worked previously in the development of Union State Register at Odessa Company, and nowadays at an offshore company as developer and analyst.
He is currently a IO Software developer and has several own projects. |
